1. ABOUT US
The-Bed Limited (“Bedspoke”, “we”, “us”, “our”) designs and manufactures bespoke upholstered furniture.
All products sold on bedspoke.co.uk are made to order. We do not hold stock unless explicitly stated in writing.

Please note, these Terms & Conditions apply to retail consumers only. Trade customers should contact us for separate trade terms.
2. GENERAL TERMS
2.1
Any order accepted by Bedspoke is subject to these Terms & Conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2
These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under UK law.
2.3
We reserve the right to amend these Terms from time to time. Any changes will apply to new orders only and will not affect existing confirmed orders.
3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
3.1
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all order details are correct at the time of confirmation.
3.2
Product dimensions are provided on the website. Customers must ensure that ordered items will fit into their property, including through doorways, staircases, corridors, lifts, and access points.
3.3
Images on the website are for illustrative purposes only. Colours, textures, and finishes may vary slightly due to lighting, screen settings, and natural material variation.
4. UPHOLSTERED & HANDMADE FURNITURE
4.1
All upholstered furniture is handmade. As such:

Measurements may vary by a few centimetres

Fabric batches may show minor colour variation
4.2
We do not accept responsibility for fading or discolouration caused by:

Exposure to direct or indirect sunlight
-
Chemical treatments or cleaning products
4.3
We recommend professional upholstery cleaning at all times.
5. BESPOKE & MADE-TO-ORDER GOODS
5.1
All Bedspoke products are made to order.
5.2
An order is considered bespoke if it includes any of the following:
-
Fabric or colour selection
-
Size or dimensional selection
-
Storage options
-
Headboard customisation or detailing
-
Any configuration produced specifically to the customer’s requirements
5.3
All bespoke orders must be paid for in full before production begins.
6. RIGHT TO CANCEL (BEFORE PRODUCTION)
6.1
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of placing the order, provided that production has not begun.
Cancellation is only possible if production has not begun, as determined by Bedspoke’s internal manufacturing records.
6.2
To cancel, you must notify us in writing (email is sufficient) within 14 days of order confirmation.
6.3
If cancellation is approved, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
7. WHEN PRODUCTION BEGINS (IMPORTANT)
For the avoidance of doubt, production is deemed to have begun when one or more of the following has occurred:

Fabric has been cut, allocated, or ordered specifically for your order
-
Materials or components have been prepared or commissioned for your order
-
Manufacturing has commenced at our production facility
Once production has begun, your cancellation rights end.
8. CANCELLATION AFTER PRODUCTION HAS STARTED
8.1
Once an order has entered production:
-
The order cannot be cancelled
-
The order cannot be amended
-
No refunds or exchanges are possible
8.2
This applies even if the order has not yet been delivered.
8.3
This is because the goods are made specifically to your specifications and cannot be resold.
9. PRODUCTION-STAGE NOTIFICATION
9.1
Production is deemed to have begun when manufacturing activities commence, as defined in Section 7, regardless of whether the customer has been notified.
9.2
Any communication from Bedspoke confirming that production has started is provided as a courtesy only and does not affect the legal commencement of production.
9.3
The absence of a production-start notification does not extend, reinstate, or preserve any right to cancel once production has begun.
9.4
Bedspoke reserves the right to determine and evidence when production has commenced based on its internal manufacturing processes.
10. PRICING & PAYMENT
10.1
All prices include UK VAT at the prevailing rate.
10.2
We accept payment by credit card, debit card, bank transfer, and other methods as displayed at checkout.
10.3
Payment is processed immediately upon order placement.
10.4
Bedspoke reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders due to pricing errors or inability to supply.
10.5
If a confirmed order is affected by a price increase prior to production, we will contact you. You may cancel for a full refund before agreeing to the revised price.
11. DELIVERY
11.1
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on production schedules and logistics.
11.2
Delivery is carried out by third-party couriers or Bedspoke delivery partners.
Delivery prices shown on the website apply to standard UK mainland addresses.
Deliveries to certain remote, rural, or hard-to-access postcodes may incur an additional surcharge.
Where a surcharge applies, we will inform you before processing the order or prior to delivery confirmation.
11.3
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure:

Clear access to the delivery address
-
That items will fit into the property
11.4
Failed deliveries due to access issues or customer unavailability may incur additional charges.
11.5
Any damage must be reported while the delivery team is on site and noted on delivery paperwork.
12. RISK & OWNERSHIP
12.1
Risk passes to the customer upon delivery.
12.2
Ownership passes once full payment has been received.
13. STORAGE
13.1
We do not offer free storage.
13.2
If delivery cannot be accepted within 10 calendar days of goods arriving at our warehouse, storage charges of £50 per week per item may apply.
14. FAULTY OR DAMAGED GOODS
14.1
If goods are faulty or damaged, you must notify us in writing within a reasonable time and provide supporting photographs.
14.2
Where a fault is confirmed, we will:

Repair the item, or
-
Replace the item, or
-
Offer a refund if repair or replacement is not possible
15. GUARANTEES
15.1
All Bedspoke products are guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship for 24 months from delivery.
15.2
Beechwood frames for beds, sofas, and sofa beds carry a 10-year structural guarantee.
15.3
This does not apply to fair wear and tear, misuse, or clearance/ex-display items.
16. PROMOTIONAL CODES
16.1
Only one promotional code may be used per order.
16.2
Promotional offers are subject to change and may be withdrawn at any time.
17. FRAUD PREVENTION
17.1
We reserve the right to investigate orders suspected of fraud.
17.2
Delivery may be delayed pending verification.
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
18.1
We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses.
18.2
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
19. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Credit Card Security
When your order is placed at our website you will be redirected to a secure hosting (EPDQ) server for payment. Here, your credit card numbers will be encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are not held in clear text on any web site at any time.
